On 1873 East Troy Township map, two mills - one at the north of Troy Lakes (owned by J. E. Burnham), one, East Troy mills owned by J. Atkins (section 22, established 1868).

East Troy Gazette, February 4, 1880:  Notice to farmers from Lindsay Atkinson.   I would like to say to farmers of this vicinity that for the past two years I have from time to time improved my mill (which is situated three miles east of the village of East Troy) and am now prepared to grind....I have plenty of water....
East Troy Gazette, August 18, 1880:  Visitors at Camp O.K. include Lindsay Atkinson and sister, and Mr. Lindsay of Mobile, Alabama.  Same source, another item:  Mr. Lindsay of Mobile, Alabama is visiting relatives and friends.
East Troy Gazette, September 22, 1880.  Miss Laura Atkinson left for Omaha, Nebraska where she will visit the family of her brother the coming winter.
East Troy Gazette, June 28, 1881:  Lindsay Atkinson has rented mill property to John Hicks of Hales Corners for one year, possession next Monday.  Atkinson goes to Milwaukee where after about one month he will take position in flouring mill in Sioux Falls, Dakota.
East Troy Gazette, July 12, 1881:  Lindsay Atkinson who has been at Shell Creek, Nebraska the past year, was in town visiting friends.
East Troy Gazette, July 20, 1881:  Lindsay Atkinson returned from his trip to Milwaukee last week.
